New T-Tran Buses
A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held on November 21 in front of the Tioga County Courthouse to celebrate five new Tioga County T-Tran buses and their award-winning graphic designs. The buses sport a high-tech vinyl wrap that promotes all the great things about Tioga County. Each bus promotes a different aspect of the county's resources, and acts as a travelling billboard. No county property tax dollars were used to purchase or operate the public transit systems. Ninety percent of the funding to purchase the buses comes from state and federal grants and the remaining 10% comes for the operator, Coach USA. Gary Schoonover of Schoonover Advertising designed the "Ride Tioga" logo which was revealed for the first time. Early next year, the logo will also appear on bus stops, signs, and bus schedules.
