Santa Claus is Coming to Town
December 7, Saturday, 10 - 11 am
Santa will be arriving at the Apalachin Library on Saturday,
December 7, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Come early to see him arrive
by fire truck! Santa will sit and visit with every girl and boy who
wants to talk to him. Be sure to bring a camera! Santa will have
treats for every child and there will be refreshments, music and stories
that morning too. The Lion's Club will be collecting toys and food donations
for their Holiday baskets. Santa's visit is a gift to the community from
the Apalachin Lions, the Apalachin Fire Department, and the Apalachin Library.
Book Club
January 27, Monday, 7 pm
The Book Club will discuss Where the Heart Is by Billie Letts
on Monday, January 27 at 7:00 pm. This popular title has been reviewed
as quirky, warm and zany. It has won awards and was recently made into
a television movie. Please stop in and request a copy soon.
Everyone is welcome to join the discussion.
Toddler Time
Begins January 16, 6 pm
The evening toddler program for walkers 2 1/2 and younger will
begin again on Thursday, January 16. For six weeks, toddlers and their
parents meet at 6:00 pm for a half hour of actions, rhymes, stories, and
free play with puzzles and books. Space is limited, so registration is
necessary. A second session will run March 6 through April 10.
To register, call the library at 625-3333. Please leave
the parent's name, the child's name and age, and a phone number.
Overdue Fines
Overdue fines can still be resolved with a donation of non-perishable
food from now until the end of December. Start the new year with
a clean slate!
