"Look Good, Feel Better" in Tioga A New Program for Cancer Patients The American Cancer Society is pleased to announce the arrival of the new Look Good, Feel Better (LGFB) program in Tioga. LGFB is a community based, free national service facilitated by local beauticians. They will teach female cancer patients beauty techniques to help enhance appearance and self-image during chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Tioga's Look Good, Feel Better program will be offered on Friday, October 11, from 9:00 to 11:00 am, at Tioga Opportunities, 9 Sheldon Guile Boulevard in Owego. Cancer patients must register for LGFB by calling Mary Shaller at 1-800-725-3181, or Betsy Clark at 687-1152. Through LGFB's hands-on practical experience, women are given
beauty tips about makeup, hair, wigs, turbans, and scarves. Each participant
receives a complimentary box of beauty products containing items used in
the program. Participants are also trained in different ways to style wigs
and turbans.
