Dessert Card Party
A Dessert Card Party will be held on Thursday, April 26, at 7:00 pm at St. Patrick's Church Hall on Main Street in Owego. Tickets are $3.00 and are available at the door or from members of St. Patrick's Altar and Rosary Society. There will be door prizes.

Accepting Consignments
The Weltonville Volunteer Fire Company, West Creek Road is accepting consignments for the auction or yard sale to be held on Saturday, May 19, at 2:00 pm. Call Steve at 687-1732.

ACS Man to Man Meeting
The next meeting of the American Cancer Society's Man to Man education, information, and support group will be on Tuesday, April 10, from 7:00 to 8:00 pm, at Lourdes Hospital, Lecture Hall, Main Floor.

Man to Man is the American Cancer Society's prostate cancer education and support program that offers community based group education, discussion, and support to men with prostate cancer. The program welcomes wives and partners to attend the meetings. Meetings are free. For more information, call Mary Shaller, Director of Patient and Family Services at 1-800-725-3181 or 722-6471.

Tioga County 2001 Calendar of Events Now Available
The new 2001 Calendar of Events for Tioga County has been published and is now available for free from numerous distribution racks around the county and also at the Tioga County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Office at 188 Front Street in Owego. It lists Tioga's festivals, events, and tourism-related activities for the year. If you would like one mailed to you, please call 687-7440 or email info@seetioga.com. DAR Cabin Fever Luncheon
The Beulah Patterson Brown Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will meet for a "Cabin Fever Luncheon" on Saturday, April 14, at Noon, at the home of Mrs. Ann Evans, 325 Main Street in Owego. Please bring a dish to pass. Mr. Scott McDonald will speak on "Conservation." The report of the nominating committee and election of officers will be held. Members, guests, and women interested in joining DAR are cordially invited to attend.

Chinese Auction in Nichols
The Nichols Rainbow Lioness Club will have a Chinese Auction on Saturday, April 7, at the Nichols Fire Station. Doors open at 6:00 pm, and drawing starts promptly at 7:00 pm. There will be more than 50 baskets of new items - each Lioness will donate a basket of new items such as a wicker basket filled with a complete meal, a complete beauty treatment, seeds and garden tools, or activities for children. There will be something for everyone. Refreshments will be available.

The Lionesses are raising money to support their many projects. All the money that their organization makes goes back into the community.
