Open House

April is a big month, with lots of things going on. We start with Open House on Thursday, April 5. Shuttle busses will run from St. Margaret Mary's Church on Pennsylvania Avenue from 5:45 to 8:15 pm, so park and ride. Dinner will be served in the school cafeteria starting at 5:45 pm. Our menu will include hot dogs for $1.00, pizza for 50 cents, soda or water for 50 cents, bog of chips for 25 cents. All proceeds will go to the Parents Group to aid future activities for our students and for upgrading our school inside and out.

Here is the schedule of event at the Open House:
5:45-8:00 - Snacks in the cafeteria
6:00-8:00 - Computer Labs in Rooms 320 and 316 will be open so students can demonstrate their technical abilities
- Mr. Kearney and his students will entertain
- Mr. Ernest will display Quest Projects
- State Police Fingerprinting will be available compliments of Officer Scott Pauly
- Blood pressure screening will be conducted by school nurse Mrs. Tulsey
- Kathy Fairbanks, of Aerobic Central and Girl Scout Troop 45 will measure body fat and offer health tips
- The Apalachin Library will be distributing library cards.
6:00-8:15 - The Parent Group will sponsor their semi-annual Book Fair
6:30-7:30 - Kindergarten, First, and Second Grade rooms will display student work
6:45-7:45 - Art, Library, Music, and Gym teachers will be available
7:00-8:00 - Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grade teachers invite you to their rooms during this hours.

Bottle & Can Drive
Our Bottle and Can Drive takes place from Monday, April 23 to Friday, April 27. You can take your bottles and cans to the school or to Don Davis Charpit & Deli (across from the Post Office on Lolita Drive in Apalachin). This event is to help beautify our school grounds with flowers and plants for Arbor Day.
