St. Patrick's Fall Festival

The St. Patrick Fall Festival will be a weekend filled with fun, great activities and plenty of delicious food. What a way to start the fall!

This year's festival will be held on Friday and Saturday, September 29 and 30, on the St. Patrick Church grounds on Front Street in Owego. Activities will start Friday at 4:00 pm with the traditional chicken barbecue. The chicken will be grilled by the St. Pat's Fathers' Club using their "secret recipe," so you can count on a satisfying meal.

Other food will include the Maple Leaf Grill which will feature regular festival fare including spiedies, hot dogs, sausage and peppers, and hamburgers. The kids will enjoy popcorn, cotton candy and pizza fritte

served up by their favorite St. Pat's teacher. For the more sophisticated sweet eater, the Shamrock Café will have its usual delectable selection of homemade cakes, pies and other desserts, along with gourmet coffee.

There will plenty to do when you are finished eating too. The kids games will be better than ever. The General Store and Christmas Shops will be stocked with unique items. The Buy the Book bookstore will have some real values on used books. The Pot of Gold White Elephant sale will have great finds and used treasures. The athletes in your family can try their hand at the Binghamton Mets' Speed Pitch and the BC Icemen's Slap Shot. There will be music, live entertainment, story telling, a karate demonstration, and a visit by the IBM roving technology van. The festival activities will culminate with the annual auction at 7:00 pm on Saturday, under the big tent. This will be your chance to get some great items donated by local and national businesses, along with unique antiques and hand-crafted items. Come on out for a fun filled festival!
