Owego Village Renewal Project Survey

The Owego Village Renewal Project is announcing its first step in gathering the ideas and desires of its village residents and concerned patrons of the Village of Owego.

A Community Task Force Survey was mailed to all village residents and property owners on September 1. The survey should be completed and returned by September 13 to the Village of Owego office at 178 Main Street or the Tioga County Chamber of Commerce at 188 Front Street in Owego.

The Renewal project is an independent, non-municipal organization that will strive to improve the village's way of life economically, environmentally and qualitatively by mobilizing the community to work together in a grassroots efforts to achieve collaborative goals. The Renewal project will seek to recognize Owego's unique resources and generate sustainable projects that the community determines to be important.

First Two Meetings

The first two meetings of the general public will be on October 4 and October 11, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm, at the Countryside Community Center, 9 Sheldon Guile Boulevard in Owego, to discuss the outcome of the surveys, prioritize village projects, and organize citizens to work on these projects.
