At Our Apalachin Elementary School
by Don Davis - Your Community Representative of the Shared Planning and Decision Making Team

It's hard to believe that another school year is over! Where did the time go?

For the children, it was a fun time. As I see it, school is both work and fun.

The children who started school for the first time last September, the little ones who got on that big, yellow bus for the very first time - under the watchful, tearful eyes of their parents - the past year was something special. They made many new friends and learned many things: ABCs, 1-2-3s, math, reading, science, friendship, music, gym, playground fun, and respect for others.

Congratulations to the 5th Grade. You will have many new experiences next year when you attend the Owego Middle School. Good luck, and don't forget to stop back to see us sometime!

I hope all the students, teachers, and parents have a great summer. I'm looking forward to September and dodging the little ones in the elementary school halls.
