Spaghetti Supper in Newark Valley

A Spaghetti Supper will be held on Saturday, April 8, from 4:30 to 6:30 pm at the 1st United Methodist Church of Newark Valley. Cost is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children. The church is at 61 S. Main Street (Route 38) in Newark Valley.
 

Chicken & Biscuit Dinner on May 5

A Chicken & Biscuit Dinner will be held on Friday, May 5, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the church hall of St. Margaret Mary's Church in Apalachin. The menu includes chicken and biscuits, mashed potatoes, tossed salad, vegetables, homemade pie, and beverage. Cost of the dinner is $6.50 for adults, $4.00 for children aged 5-12, and free for children under 5. Take-outs will be available. The dinner is an annual event at the church which is on Pennsylvania Avenue in Apalachin.

Pancake Breakfast in NV

A Pancake Breakfast will be held on Saturday, April 15, from 7:30 to 10:30 am at the 1st United Methodist Church of Newark Valley. A free will donation will be accepted. The breakfast is sponsored by the Caring Cooperative Covenant Parish. The church is at 61 S. Main Street (Route 38) in Newark Valley.
 

Guitarist at Awakenings

Singer, songwriter, and guitarist Jody Kessler will perform at Awakenings Coffeehouse on Saturday, April 8. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Jody will perform at 7:30 and 8:30 pm. There will be open seating. Donations accepted. Awakenings Coffeehouse is at 208 Front Street in Owego.
 

County's 2000 Event Calendar Available

The new 2000 Calendar of Events for Tioga County has been published in full color and is now available for free from numerous distribution racks around the county and also at the Tioga County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Office at 188 Front Street in Owego. Business & Professional Women's Club Meeting

The Owego Business and Professional Women's Club will hold their April meeting on Monday, April 24, at Donoli's Restaurant in Apalachin. Networking starts at 5:30 pm followed by dinner at 6:00 pm. A program on Heart Care starts at 7:00 pm. For more information, call 687-0469.

Young Singers Needed

Children ages 10 - 18 are needed to sing "Answer the Call" at the "Meet the Celebrities" night of the Grand National Celebrity weekend at Turkey Trot Acres in Candor, sponsored by Dunkin Donuts. The song "Answer the Call" was written by Bill Nolis of Nichols. Bill is the owner of the Dunkin Donuts in Apalachin and Owego. For more details, call Bill at 687-0016
 

Book Sale at Vestal Library

The annual Spring Book Sale at the Vestal Library will be on Saturday, April 15, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The $2 Bag Sale starts at 2:00 pm. The sale is sponsored by the Vestal Public Library Friends. The library is at 320 Vestal Parkway East in Vestal.
