Book Reviews at Coburn Library

The Friends of the Coburn Free Library invite you to their April book reviews.

The book reviews will be held on Wednesday afternoons from 12:10 to 12:45 pm next door to the library at the Methodist Church Chapel, located in the new annex of the church. The book reviews are free and open to everyone. As a fund raiser for the Friends of the Library, sandwiches, coffee, and tea are available.

The Coburn Library and Methodist Church are on Main Street in Owego.

Book reviews are being funded by the New York State Council on the Arts' Decentralization program, which is being administered by the Tioga County Council on the Arts. The book review schedule and information is listed below.

• April 5 - Tuesdays with Morrie, by Mitch Albom, Reviewed by the Rev. Arlyce Kretschman

• April 12 - The Burglar in the Rye, by Lawrence Block, Reviewed by Dr. Gary Williams

• April 19 - The Women Who Wrote the War, by Nancy Caldwell Sorel, Reviewed by Emma Sedore

• April 26 - Endurance, by Alred Lansing, Reviewed by Rick Marsi.
