File of Life

Have you ever been in a situation when a family member needed the ambulance, but couldn't find the list of medications to give the squad when they arrived? Maybe you were so sick you just couldn't remember what medications you were allergic to. Worse yet, you couldn't even remember the name of your doctor. The "File of Life" will resolve all those problems. Every home should have one, and it's FREE! No strings attached! Just stop by Station #1 on Pennsylvania Avenue. If you can't get out to get the "File of Life," just call 625-2790 and it will be delivered to you.

Which House?

Help your fire department and yourself - make sure your house has numbers and that they are in plain view, large enough to be read from the road.

Volunteers Needed

The Apalachin Fire Department is accepting volunteers who are willing to donate their time in service to our community. All that's necessary is to live or work in Apalachin and have a willingness to learn and respond to emergencies that occur throughout the day and night. As with any volunteer organization, help is especially needed during the daytime hours when most people are at work.

If you have recently retired from that 80-hour job and are looking for something meaning ful to do, this may be right up your alley. For more information, contact any firefighter or stop by Station #1 on Pennsylvania Avenue any Wednesday between 7:00 and 9:00 pm and pick up an application. Or call 625-2790 for more information.
