At the Apalachin Elementary School

by Don Davis

March is a very busy month for AES. We start with National School Breakfast Week. This year, our 3rd and 4th Grade students will participate with Mr. Knapik our leader.

A special treat for our students on March 9 will be a visit from some BC Icemen to tell about their hockey life.

March 17 is the Green Eggs and Ham Special Breakfast.

On March 18, we have our BC Icemen Hockey Night. This will be a great night to enjoy the league leading Icemen playing against the Asheville Smoke from North Carolina. (A news flyer was sent home with each student. Money must be in by March 13.)

And now it's time to put on your dancing shoes for Swing Dance Time on Friday night, March 24, at 7:00 pm. We ask that the parents please accompany their child to this event. We will be selling pizza and chips, soda, and water in the cafeteria - that's where I'll be because I've got two left feet!

Our Annual Bottle & Can Drive is scheduled to star on April 3. The profits will be used for planting flowers around the school.
