The Ahwaga Canoe Club (ACC) will hold their first open meeting of the year on Monday, March 27. The featured speaker will be Bob Hamilton, member of the Vestal Fire Department Water Rescue Team, EMT, member of the National Ski Patrol-Outdoor Emergency Care Technician, and certified Instructor. Bob will speak about water safety, cold weather paddling, and water rescue. Since so many Southern Tier residents live on or near a waterway and could benefit greatly from much of this valuable information, the general public is cordially invited to attend the free event.

The ACC will meet at 7:00 pm, with the program following at 8:00 pm. The meeting will take place at the Central United Methodist Church (across from the Cider Mill), 17 Nanticoke. Avenue, in Endicott.
