Groundhog Day - story and photo by Monika Kershner
In Mrs.Hettinger's first grade class the children learned about the history of Groundhog's Day in an unusual way. They searched on the World Wide Web to find out what Phil was up to. They found out all of the years, since 1887, when he has seen his shadow, including this year. Other activities that the children enjoyed included groundhog math, reading stories, and art projects.
