< Annual Christmas Tree Sale

Now through December 24

The center will have pre-cut trees available for you to pick from, or you may go to Crowe's Nest Tree Farm in Candor and tag a tree. Then the center will cut it for you and you can pick it up at Waterman Center. Call the center for more details.

< Volunteer Holiday Party

December 10, Friday, 6-7:30 pm

All 1999 volunteers are invited to celebrate the holidays together. Cookies and coffee and gifts will be provided. Call to register.

< Little People, Big People

December 7, 14, 21, 38, Tuesdays, 10:30-11:30 am

All three- and four-year-olds and their parents, grandparents, babysitters, etc. are invited to spend an hour each week learning about nature. Join Naturalist Lisa Rodgers for hikes, games, and crafts. There will be a special party on December 21, decorating a tree with treats for the birds. $12 for members, $16 for non-members. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required.

< Full Moon Hike

December 22, Wednesday, 4:30 pm

Track the moon's travels each month on the popular full moon hike. Leaves as the sun sets, walk through the woods while it is still light and emerge into the fields to watch the moon rise over the hills. Call the center to register and confirm departure time. Free for members, $2 for non-members.

< Winter Fun

December 27, 1-3 pm

Drop the kids off for a couple of hours of hiking, games, and activities while you return gifts, clean up the house, or take a much needed nap. Register early, space is limited to 15. Ages 6-10. $2 for members, $4 for non-members. Call to register.
