1999 St. Patrick's Fall Festival

St. Patrick's Fall Festival will be two days packed with fun and activities. This year's festival will be Friday and Saturday, October 1 and 2, at the church and school grounds in Owego. The festival will start at 4:30 pm on Friday with a chicken barbeque. Friday night will feature live musical entertainment by Trace of Grace, a clown reveling with the festival participants, and interactive storytelling for kids. The highlight for Friday evening will be a prayer service and memorial luminary dedication. The evening will conclude with a family block party under the big tent with music by Mule in the Corn.

Activities will start on Saturday at 11:00 am. William the Magician will perform his exciting magical act and fascinate everyone with his balloon creations. The Morgan String Band will be back by popular demand playing their unique style of bluegrass music.

As always, there will be plenty of things to do. In addition to the general store, crafts booth, used book store, and white elephant sale, this year there will be a special Christmas store with lots of charm. The kids will find games, face painting, and great prizes. The Maple Leaf Grill will feature spiedies, sausage and peppers, hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, clam chowder, and salt potatoes. The Shamrock Café will have delicious desserts and gourmet coffee. The kids will love the cotton candy, fried dough and popcorn.

The festival will culminate with an auction on Saturday night at 7:00 pm. This annual event will feature more than two hundred items donated by local and national businesses. You'll find fine dining, shopping, children's toys, unique hand-crafted items, and services available to bid on. This year, a color television will be a door prize for one lucky auction participant. Admission to the festival is free and all are invited to attend.
