Painting Classes for Adults

Two painting courses for adults, "Beginners Acrylics" and "Beginners Oil," start this month. The classes are taught by famous local artist Bob Merwin and will meet once a week for six weeks.

"Beginners Oil" will teach adults the basic technique of painting with oil. The class will be held on Tuesday evenings, August 24 through September 28, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, at the Tioga County Council on the Arts (TCCA).

"Beginners Acrylics" will teach adults the basic techniques of painting with acrylics. The class will be held on Thursday evenings, August 26 through September 30, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, at TCCA.

The cost of each course is $80 for TCCA members, $85 for non-members. For more information, a list of supplies, and class schedule, contact TCCA at 687-0785.
