CLEANING UP APALACHIN

The new owners (Apalachin Planing Mill) of the former Ken's Texaco service station on Pennsylvania Avenue have removed the old storage tanks and are getting ready to remodel the building. The building will be remodeled in a 1950's style, which is when the building was built, and then rented out for a business or office.

The Decker Farm property on route 434 Apalachin has also been cleande up. The Town of Owego is working on the odor from the sewage treatment plant. We are now waiting for the new owners of the Grange Hall and Dutch's Bar on Main Street to start doing something to clean up those properties.
