Carole LaPlante and Robert L. Woodburn have announced their candidacy for the office of Tioga County Clerk. The office is now filled by Charles Blackman who announced that he is retiring.

Carole LaPlante, a life-long resident of Tioga County, was appointed Deputy Clerk in 1996. "The Tioga County Clerk's Office performs a multitude of functions, all of which have become second nature to me," Ms. LaPlante said

Robert L. Woodburn, 47, of Owego, is a registered Republican. He has served as past vice chairman of the Tioga County Republican Committee, and currently works as a Senior Probation Officer with the Tioga County Probation Department.
