"The Great Escape"

October 7, Wednesday, 7pm The library will be open at 7:00 pm following the Apalachin Fire Department's community fire drill. The library will be collecting family fire escape plans for the fire department drawing and offering free give-aways. Enjoy refreshments, a story, and a chance to win a trip to Disney World.

Pre-School Story Time

Every Thursday, 10:30 am

On October 8, the Apalachin Fire Department will visit the library and show the children their equipment and help them practice being safe from fires. Children ages 2-5 are welcome accompanied by an adult.

Family Story Hour

Friday, October 23, 7pm

An evening of Silly Chills and other Halloween Jokes and Stories. Enjoy the funny side of Halloween. Share some tricks and treats at the library. Costumes are not required.

Annual Election Day Book

and Bake Sale

Tuesday, November 3

Please remember to vote and stop by the library for the annual book and bake sale. In addition to the usual goodies, the library will also accept advance orders for delicious apple and pumpkin pies. Please place your order by Wednesday, October 28. Call the library at 625-3333.

Ready to read a new book? New purchases at the library include Summer Sisters by Judy Blume, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six, Nicholas Evans' The Loop, Field of Thirteen by Dick Francis, and Tony Hillerman's The First Eagle.
