Fellowship Dinner Program

The Outreach Team representing the Methodist Churches of Apalachin and Little Meadows is involved in a community project called "The Friendship Dinner."

The dinner, which is open to everyone, provieds a hot meal to families in need, whether the need is monetary, spiritual or companionship. The dinner is a safe haven for all to share God's Offerings as a community.

The dinner is served every Thursday from 5:45 pm to 6:45 p.m. at the Apalachin United Methodist Church. They provide crafts for the children, prayer, and a sense of fellowship in joining together as a community to give and receive God's love.

The community response to this program has steadily increased and continues to grow. To further their success with the dinner, the Outreach Team is reaching out to the community to invite any individuals or groups who would like to volunteer their time, in any capacity, to the program.

Help would be welcomed in any of the following areas: cooking, serving, and clean-up of the dinner (as little as a half hour would bless you and the team) as well as food donations, monetary offerings, etc.

God is reaching out to everyone to join together in community support of each other through this mission of friendship. If you know of a family in the community who is homebound and would benefit from a meal, please let the Outreach Team know. For more information about this program, please call 625-4828 or Donna at (717) 623-2025. If you would like to make a donation it can be sent directly to the church, specified for "Friendship Dinner."
