Blue Ribbon School Accreditation Update

In June, Apalachin Elementary School's Steering Committee took on the challenge of beginning the process of filling out the Blue Ribbon School Application. The Blue Ribbon School Program was established by the Secretary of Education to identify and to give recognition to outstanding schools through the county. Over the summer, the Steering Committee has met several times to work on the lengthy application. A technical writer, who is on loan from Lockheed Martin Federal Systems, will be assisting the committee as they continue to complete the Blue Ribbon School Application. The application is due at the end of September.
