Walking Tour - Historic Characters
June 13, Saturday, 11am
Look back at the interesting people who lived in Owego from 1790 to 1890 such as John D. Rockefeller and Senator Thomas Platt. Lead by local Historian John Shafer. Cost is $5 for members, $2.50 for non-members. The walking tour starts from the Historical Society Museum on Front Street.
Tioga County Farm Tour

Take Dad on a tour of working farms! The Tioga County Historical Society is presenting a van tour of four Tioga County farms: two dairy farms, a beef cattle farm, and the Iron Kettle Produce farm. Limit to 14 people. Cost is $20 per person. Starts at 110 Front Street, Owego, NY
Exhibit - Past and Present
Take a look back at places and buildings in Tioga County, and compare
1998 with 1898! "Past and Present" will contrast original photographs from the Museum's collections with photographs of the same location taken today. The exhibit opens with a Members Only Preview on May 13 from 5:00-7:00 pm. The exhibit opens to the general public on May 14. Funding for this exhibit has been provided by the Chemung Canal Trust Company.
