Former Sheriff's Office Restored and Ready for Tenants

The former Tioga County Sheriff's Office in the village of Owego, which has recently been restored for use as apartments and office space, is ready for tenants. The second and third floors of the building now contain apartments. "We've had quite a lot of interest," said owner Bruce Nelson of the apartments which are two-floor loft spaces with cathedral ceilings.

The first floor will be used for office space.

The portion of the Sheriff's Office that was used as a jail has three floors with 2500 square feet on each floor. It is available for lease and Nelson will build to suit the tenant. He may also eventually have a restaurant in the back section, but that plan is currently on hold.
