Former Apalachin Resident is
First Woman Mayor of Oneonta

Kim Kucharski Muller, daughter of Eugene and Arlene Kucharski of Apalachin, is the first woman mayor of the city of Oneonta. She was elected last November to a four-year term which ends in 2002.

Kim graduated from Owego Free Academy and SUNY-Binghamton where she earned a B.S. degree in Geology. She served four terms on the Otsego County Legislature before running for mayor. Kim is married to Peter Muller, a Professor of Geology at the State University College at Oneonta. They have two daughters, Hannah and Chloe.
