Tioga County is sponsoring the "Big Help" Youth Service Week April 20 - 25 which includes the following projects:

a community paint day,

a recognition for all youth community servers on National Youth Service Day,

youth clean-up on Earth Day, Wednesday, April 22,

a recycling collection of tires, plastic, cans, and paper on Thursday, April 23,

a tree planting day on Friday, April 24.

Tioga County's 1st Community Carnival brings Youth Service Week to a close on Saturday, April 25, from 7:00 to 10:00 pm at the Owego Free Academy. A variety of fun booths will be set up by youth groups from across Tioga County to offer fun activities and entertainment. Activities include pie throwing, open gym, and a community dance. Donated food will be given to the local food bank.

The Community Carnival is open to the entire Tioga County Community. Each participant is asked to bring two cans of food to get in free or pay $1.00 per person or $2.50 per family.
