Public Meeting to Discuss
Court Street Bridge's Future

An open-house format public meeting to discuss the proposed Court Street Bridge project will be held on Tuesday, March 10, from 3:30 to 8:00 pm in the Tioga County Office Building Auditorium. The New York State Department of Transportation (DOT) in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration is developing design studies to analyze the existing structure for possible rehabilitation or replacement.

The purpose of the meeting is to obtain comments on the project from individuals, groups, officials, and local agencies. The DOT is soliciting comments on the project's social, economic, and environmental effects.

The bridge was built in the 1930's and was extensively renovated in 1972-73. Traffic across the bridge is currently limited due to height and weight restrictions.
