J. Dickson Edson, President of the Tioga County Senior Citizens Foundation, announces that a total of $589,824 has been awarded to organizations which promote the needs, interests, and well-being of seniors in Tioga County.

Most recently, the foundation awarded a two-year grant of $50,000 for the Community Pool Project. "We are happy that it is going for a community activity where seniors will surely benefit," said Mr. Edson.

In addition to the Pool Project and the 13 Senior Citizens Clubs throughout the county, the foundation made grants to 23 other organizations which enhance the quality of life for seniors.
