Little Meadows Bank Robbed

The Grange National Bank in Little Meadows, Pennsylvania, was robbed on Friday, December 12, 1997, at about 3:30 pm. Two men wearing bandannas on their faces and armed with a shotgun came into the bank and ordered bank employees and one customer to get away from the counter and the cash drawers. The men took an undetermined amount of money from the cash drawers, left the bank, headed south on Route 858 in a car that was described as a dark blue Pontiac with New York State license plates.

The next day, Saturday, December 13, 1997, two men were arrested at the Oakdale Plaza on Harry L Drive in Johnson City, New York, in connection with the robbery. The men were Keith Vroman of Johnson City and Jason Hawkins of Endicott. The arrests were made by the New York State Police with help from the Pennsylvania State Police, Broome County Sheriff's Department, and the FBI.
