Hospitality Day, 30 Years Later - Thirty years ago, nine-year-old Paul Koetsch and his family were traveling through the village of Owego on their way from Arkansas to their home in Massachusetts when they were pulled over and "sentenced" to a day of hospitality and given the key to the village. When Paul planned to visit relatives in Binghamton this summer, he wanted to revisit Owego with his 30-year-old key. When he told local officials about his plans, the village rolled out the red carpet again for Paul and his family. They were given a new key to the village, a night at the Treadway Inn, flowers from Tioga Gardens, dinner at O'Hara's, a ride on the Tioga Scenic Railroad, and much more. Pictured above are the Paul Koetsch family and Owego Police Chief Williams.
