Tioga Park presents "Oldies at the Park - Cars & Stars" featuring Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame groups The Drifters, The Platters, and the Coasters and a Classic Car Show on Saturday, August 23, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and from 9:00 to 11:00 pm. Potato Festival in Richford

The 5th Annual Richford Potato Festival will be on Saturday, September 20. Featured will be potato delicacies of all types, exhibits, craft and antique market, games for kids and adults, music throughout the day, and garage and yard sales throughout the town. A lecture on potatoes will be presented by Dr. Don Halseth from Cornell University.

Coffee and Jazz

Awakenings Coffeehouse presents The Seneca Jazz Quartet featuring Keith Williams on guitar, Bret Holton on Acoustic Bass, Donna Wood on Sax and Flute, and Joel Smales on Drums playing straight ahead jazz on Saturday, August 9. The Ti-Ahwaga Community Players are presenting a Music Fest on Sunday, August 24, from 12:30 to 6:00 pm at the Hickories Park Music Shell in Owego. The Music Fest will feature four popular bands. Food and beverages will be available. Tickets are $7 in advance and $10 at the door. You can purchase tickets at Conti Jewelers in Owego (687-2219), the Music Workshop and the Lost Dog Cafe. Proceeds will benefit the Ti-Ahwaga Community Players Capital Campaign Fund. Music Fest is sponsored in part by Trabucco Chevrolet.

Last Concert in Park

The last in a series of free Concerts in the Park will be on Wednesday, August 6, from 7:00 - 9:00 pm, at the Hickories Park in Owego. The Southern Tiersmen/Carousel Harmony Chorus of Sweet Adalines International - Barbershop Quartet will be performing. The concert is free and everyone is welcome. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and picnic dinners and enjoy the last weeks of the summer season.Music at Countryside Community Center

The Countryside Community Center in Owego announces the following musical performances:

Mondays and Wednesdays, professional pianist Vern Mosher plays during the noontime meal

August 14 - piano and singing with Bobby Hockberg during the evening meal

September 5 - Carousel Harmony Chorus of Sweet Adalines International, 7:00 pm. Refreshments will be available.
