CITIZEN'S POLICE ACADEMY

Citizens Police Academy - The Owego Police Department recently held a Citizen Police Academy, a course designed to develop, foster, and enhance the relationship between the police and citizens in the community. The Academy's goal is to educate citizens in order to give them a better understanding of the rights the responsibilities of the police officers, and the operations of the Police Department. Attendees learned about the law, police department procedures, ant police training. The Owego Police Department is planning another Academy starting in September. Those interested in attending can pick up an application form at the Owego Police Station, 90 Temple Street, Owego, or can contact officer Kadien or Chier Williams.
