The Apalachin library held their first annual Ice Cream Social on July 31 at the Firemen's Field. The event featured a book sale, the Owego-Apalachin Summer Program Band, Local political leaders were permitted to double dip, and stick us with the crumbs, dipping the ice cream and pouring on the syrup and crumb topping. Young and old enjoyed the ice-cream and music.
