The bridge on Pa Ave under construction at the state line was the scene of a one car accident on July 23 at about 12:35am. A 70's Cadalic., traveling north, went through the bridge closed barricade, struck the bridge and ended up down an embankment. The operator of the vehicle, Richard Jacobs of Pa Ave, was transported to Wilson Memorial Hospital, by the Apalachin Fire Department, and was treated for minor lacerations to the head and released. Passenger, Judith Jacobs, was not injured. The accident was investigated by the New York State Police.
