• Play Ball for 58th Season 
 Twenty nine Owego Little League (OLL) teams and 26 teams from six Tioga County communities are playing baseball, tee ball and girls softball at Hyde Park and at away game sites from now until Monday. June 22. Away games will be in Spencer, Candor, Apalachin, Nichols-Tioga, Tioga Center and Northern Tioga. First week has 34 games - 26 at Hyde Park and eight away. • Work Bee Thanks
 Building and Grounds Chairmen Ken Winters and Tony Caprari thank the parent volunteers for spring cleaning Hyde Park. 

 Completed tasks included raking and weeding fields, fence lines and batter cages, touch-up painting of clubhouse and dugouts, cleaning the Merchant's Building, rework of pitching mounds and infield, new dugout wing roof and new roof on storage box in batter's cage, base path resetting and a lot more. 

• CPR Training Gratitute  
 OLL coaches and managers thank the Owego Emergency Squad for giving them their required annual training in AED, CPR and First Aid.

• Future Events 
 On Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, OLL teams are invited to march in the downtown parade to honor veterans from all wars who made the supreme sacrifice. VP-Baseball Debi Schmidt announces Homecoming is all day Saturday, May 30, with 16 games. VP-Softball Mark Warfle says the Girls Softball Tournament will be Friday and Saturday, June 19 and 20.
