Little Miss Apalachin Contest 2009

The 2009 Little Miss Apalachin Contest will take place on Saturday, June 6, at 12:00 Noon, in the food tent on the Apalachin Firemen's Field Day Grounds.

The contest is open only to pre-registered 8- and 9-year-old females residing within the Apalachin Fire District. The girls are judged on appearance, personality, and communication skills. Each contestant will participate in a brief casual conversation with the Master of Ceremonies while standing on an elevated platform. The duration of the contest is approximately one hour. Contestants are requested to check-in at the event area on June 6 between 11:30 am and 11:45 am to ensure a timely start of the contest. Contestants can choose their own attire.

The winner of this year's contest will receive a tiara, sash, floral bouquet, trophy, and a $200 Savings Bond. The runner-up will receive a floral bouquet, trophy, and a $100 Savings Bond. Each participant will receive a flower.
