Recently I was criticized by a member of the mental health department for having used the word "shrink." I was referring to a service about to be contracted for by the county on behalf of the O/A school system.

 Again I heard the phrase "no cost to the county" for this service. (It is to be paid for by Medicaid and/or the school system or a third party provider.)

 Having been told that this was to apply also to unruly students and even to those who are failing in their studies, I believe that the use of a mental health counselor is inappropriate.

  I also believe that a student who may be called in to receive this service will very likely be ridiculed by his fellows if this is to take place in the school building.
