Carol Barnes of Tioga Center was given the Girl Scouts' highest honor for adults, the Thanks Badge, last month at the awards luncheon of the Girl Scouts – Seven Lakes Council in Watkins Glen. The Thanks Badge is given to adults whose service is so extraordinary, no other award is appropriate.

Alicia Griggs of Owego was given the Girl Scout Honor Pin. The Honor Pin is given to Girl Scout adults demonstrating outstanding service to two more geographic areas.

Sherry O'Connell of Candor, Cecilia Skovira of Owego and Diane Zelaska of Nichols all received the Girl Scout Appreciation Pin. The Appreciation Pin honors outstanding service to Girl Scouting in one or more geographic areas.  Nominations are made to the council's volunteer Adult Awards Task Group that makes the final award selections.
