Castellucci Blood Drive 
I am writing to thank the many who helped make my recent blood drive a success. We were able to collect 54 units of blood. That in turn will touch the lives of approximately 162 people. We also collected $48 and food for the Tioga County Rural Ministry. The last few years we had set the mark of 50 units of blood and have come close. This year we finally made it! We were so busy that some donors had to be turned away. While that was unfortunate, there is a "Community That Cares" Drive being held at the Owego Treadway from 12:00 - 7:00 pm if you would like to donate. Just call 1-800- GIVE-LIFE to make an appointment. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of this event. The following businesses donated the food, paper products and the location. John and Bev Hitchings, Johns Fine Foods, Carl and Jim Roma, Jim Roma's Bakery, Ron Akel, Giant Markets, Colleen and Anthony Malarkey, Vestal Dollar, Tim and Diane Sansone, The Ale House, Dave Kucko and Dick Testa, The Sports Page, Bob Porzucek, The Dugout and the Owego Elks Club. This event could not have taken place without them. I would like to thank the local media for their yearly coverage of the blood drive. Helping make the public aware is what makes these types of events successful. I would also like to thank the Red Cross for their professionalism and dedication. They were busy from 12:00 to 7:30 pm. Thank you! Finally I would like to thank the donors who come year after year to the drive. We, again, had our regular donors, some new faces and many double red donors. My family appreciates your efforts and generosity during this time of year when we remember my dad. It is a privilege to reside in a community as giving as ours. Sincerely,
