Economic Stimulus To IncludeTax Credit for Wood & Pellet Burning Stoves

Recently, President Bush signed into law the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act to help homeowners reduce energy costs and consider renewable fuels to heat their homes.  As of January 1, 2009, when a consumer purchases any new pellet or wood stove with an efficiency rating of at least 75%, they will receive a $300 federal tax credit.

Eric Johnson, co-owner of The Hearth Shop at Johnson's Pools & Spas, Owego, NY states "with the high-efficiency rating and overall quality of our stoves, we're seeing many customers inquiring about the potential fuel savings."  He continues on to say "With the new tax incentive and our bonus –with-purchase,– it's a great time to buy!"

For a limited time beginning January 2, The Hearth Shop at Johnson's is giving away a free face-cord of wood or 1000 pounds of pellets with the purchase of each wood or pellet stove.  "Hopefully this extra bonus-with-purchase will bring customers to our showroom to inquire about the savings they too can enjoy," remarks Audra Kemmerling, co-owner.

The Hearth Shop at Johnson's Pools & Spas carries Lopi, Avalon and Fireplace Xtrordinair products, all manufactured by Travis Industries, near Seattle.  Their product line includes wood fireplaces, wood & pellet inserts, and freestanding wood & pellet stoves, many burning in the showroom daily.  Most installations can be completed in less than two weeks.

Johnson's Pools and Spas is located on Route 434 in Owego, between Rte 17's exits 64 and 65, and has been serving our community for over thirty years.  For more information, please call Audra Kemmerling at 607-687-2872.
