Fitness Challenge Awards
Savannah Howland (left) and Kerra Matolka (right) of Full of Grace Dance, won the coveted title of Most Fit Ladies of 2008. Patti Mickelinc, chairperson, presented the trophies. Tioga County Fitness Challenge (TCFC) held its year-end Awards presentation Night on November 9 at the S-VE Community and Fitness Center. Emcee Patti Mickelinc thanked all sponsors, host sites, teams, volunteers, and committee members for making this year a successful season. The Fitness Challenge is a year- long competition in which participants compete in 16 age divisions, testing various strength, endurance, and speed events designed to challenge everyone to keep fit year round. Proceeds from registration for these events are donated to various non-profit organizations around the county, including SVE Community & Fitness Center, Owego Gymnastics and Activity Center, and Tioga County Boys and Girls Club. This year there were five teams who participated in three or more events to qualify for team points, with overall continuous participation on the rise. The top team this year was from Full of Grace Dance Instruction Studio. Second place was a tie between S-VE Community & Fitness Center and Fays Fitness of Candor. Rounding out third place was yet another tie with Peak Performance of Owego with the Tioga County Sheriff's Department. Trophies were awarded to the winners of each division, as well
as the Honors of Most Fit Woman and Most Fit Man. James Walsh was awarded
Most Fit Man. Kerra Matolka, and Savannah Howland share the title of Most

for Second Place Champions
