Re-Zoning in
Apalachin ... NO
The Town of Owego Board held a special meeting last month to vote on the re-zoning of property on Glann Road in Apalachin. A developer who was interested in buying the property was requesting that the property be re-zoned to allow multiple family housing - this will allow senior and low-income housing to be built on the property. In a 4 to 1 vote, the Town of Owego Board voted not to re zone the property. This is how the board voted:
Yes, there is a need for senior and low income housing, but this property in Apalachin is not the location for it.
