Bridging the Waters

A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held on September 13 in Newark Valley for the new Sycamore Bridge and Nature Trails at the Bement-Billings Farmstead. In 2004, the Newark Valley Historical Society embarked on a mission to bridge the east branch of the Owego Creek and develop nature trails on 18 acres of land. The project was completed entirely by volunteers, who donated more than 1,650 hours of labor
