St. Pat's 40th Fall Festival
Friday, September 19, and Saturday, September 20

St. Patrick School's 40th annual Fall Festival will take place on  Friday, September 19, and Saturday, September 20, at the school at 309 Front Street in Owego.

Beginning at 5:00 pm Friday and 12:00 Noon on Saturday, games open in "Leprechaun Land," ghouls come alive in the "Haunted House," and bargain hunters and early holiday shoppers can poke through "Irish Alley Treasures," "Buy the Book," and "Halloween Bootique." Homemade goodies and festival fare tempt you at "Shamrock Café," "Dad's Diner," and "Paddy's Pub." Music and performances throughout the weekend include DJ Bob Powell, Neon Nights, Prism, St. Patrick School's students, and Rexar's Karate.

The Luminary Memorial begins at 7:00 pm on Friday.
Back again is the "St. Pat's Idol" singing competition with two divisions:  teens ages 13-18 and in school and adults ages 18 and older and not in high school. Auditions are Friday, September 12, at St. Patrick Church hall, 300 Main Street. Teen auditions begin at 5:30 pm.  Auditions for adults begin at 7:00 pm. Registration is 30 minutes prior to auditions beginning. Teen finals are set for 7:00 pm, Friday, September 19, and adult finals are 7:00 pm, Saturday, September 20, at the festival. Complete rules will be made available on the school's web site at www.stpatrickowego.org or by calling Je Je Fitzgerald at 687-1068.

In celebration of the 150th year of St. Patrick School, alumni can visit a special booth for "meet and eats."  Alumni are being sought and can call the school at (607) 687-1770 with updated contact information.

All booths this year, including food, will accept only tickets instead of cash. Tickets for booths and games can be purchased on site for 25-cents each during the festival.

A full schedule of events will be posted on St. Patrick School's web site, or you may call the school.
