The Tioga County United Way Board of Directors has selected Mr. Fred Trzcinski as their new Executive Director, effective September 2, 2008.  Mr. Trzcinski will be replacing Mrs. Sharon Schecter who has provided leadership to the organization for ten years and has chosen to retire.

 Mr. Trzcinski comes to the United Way after more than thirty years of service to children with disabilities and their families while a special educator and administrator at Broome-Tioga BOCES. More recently, he has assisted numerous refugees and immigrants while serving in the capacity of Executive Director at the American Civic Association for nearly eight years.
