The Tioga County Chamber of Commerce is seeking candidates for the upcoming Leadership Tioga Program for 2008 - 2009.  This year several scholarships are available.

 Three partial scholarships are available to interested participants.  The Local Development Corporation is offering two scholarships for small business owners to attend the Leadership Tioga Program for this year and Owego Rotary is also sponsoring a scholarship.   Interested parties should contact the Tioga Chamber at 607-687-2020 as soon as possible if they are interested in applying.

 Leadership Tioga enlists candidates who live and work in Tioga County and are interested in developing their leadership skills and knowledge of community issues, as well as pursuing leadership roles in their community and career.

 Leadership Tioga is designed to assist, educate, inform, and empower leaders. The goal is to develop individuals for future leadership roles in our county.  The program is in its ninth year of operation and over 200 people have completed the class.  There is a tuition fee and an attendance requirement for the class.

 The Tioga Chamber is pleased to present this initiative to develop enthusiastic, well-informed leaders who are committed to making positive contributions to the community.
