Community Service 
 Apalachin Fire Department had some great weather for their successful Field Days this year. Campville Firefighters and Squad members were on standby to help their neighbor at the Apalachin Fire Station during the Friday evening field days and fireworks. Campville Squad members also helped cover the First Aid tent all day Saturday at the field. It was a hot and humid day and a few people stopped in that needed some liquids and a little shade. We encouraged everyone to drink a lot of water and take it easy. 

 Campville Squad was also on hand to help our other neighbor Owego at the 
Strawberry Festival. 

Training
 Campville Squad is proud to announce that they have seven new EMTs that will be undergoing training and supervision on our ambulances until they get the experience and knowledge to ride on their own. They passed the NYS skills exam and the NYS written exam. Congratulations to: Al Peterson, Marten Peterson, Nancy Peterson, Sharon Stanley, Mark Radzikowski, Jean Paul Radzikowski and Kristen Lovejoy. Welcome to the squad. 

 Our firefighters have also been busy training this month. Edward Kotski completed the Apparatus Operator PUMP class. Carl Laposky completed the Basic Wildland Search & Rescue course. Kevin Kotski, Carl Laposky and Mark Radzikowski completed the Firefighter Survival course. 

 Our members had a Search and Rescue presentation at the station this month. Thank you Steve Fedorowicz and Connie Fedorowicz for taking the time to explain the duties involved in a Search and Rescue mission. 

 Our volunteer members are dedicated and give up their own time to attend these classes and training. We are proud of their accomplishments and thank them. 

Moving Up
 Our Apprentice Firefighters are now turning 18 years old, and it's time to play with the big boys and girls. Andrew Daniel, Marten Peterson and Jean Paul Radzikowski are now eligible to become green tags with the Campville Fire Department. They have attended training faithfully and two of them, Andrew Daniel and Marten Peterson will be attending the Firefighter I boot camp. Congratulations and welcome to the Brotherhood. 

 Campville is fortunate to have a mixed age and gender group of members. With the advancement of these three young men we have a second generation coming into our family. 

 We always have openings in our 24 hour, 365 day shifts. Volunteers are always welcome. No experience necessary. Come see us and fill out an application.
