Scouts Attain Eagle Rank

Vestal's Boy Scout Troop 225 held an Eagle Court of Honor Dinner April 26, 2008, at the Vestal United Methodist Church in Vestal.  James W. Mullally, Patrick T. Lorman, and Michael J. Hickey were awarded the Eagle rank which is the highest rank of Boy Scouting.

Mullally is the son of Jim and Mary Mullally of Apalachin. He lead fellow scouts to plant grass, bushes and flowers and put in an employee picnic table. He is currently a senior at Vestal High School and he will be attending Georgia Tech where he will major in bio medical engineering.
Lorman is the son of Tom and Kathy Lorman of Apalachin. Patrick's Eagle project involved the design and construction of extending a handicapped accessible pressure treated walkway to make it more accessible for the handicapped to enter trails into the woods at Waterman Conservation Center.  He is currently a senior at Vestal High School and he will be attending the University of Albany where he will study pre-law.
Hickey is the son of Pat and Beth Hickey of Apalachin.  Michael's Eagle project was providing Mother Teresa's Cupboard, a food pantry for Western Broome County with additional storage in the form of building a triple storage cabinet and creating a new closet in the entry room.  He is currently a senior at Vestal High School and he will be attending Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio where is he majoring in computer information science and multi media communications.
