Public's Right to Know
On Monday, June 9 at 7:00 pm, Tioga Women for Democracy are sponsoring an event focusing on the public's right to know. The event will be held at the Hubbard Auditorium in the County Office Building at 56 Main Street, Owego. Bob Freeman, Executive Director of the Committee on Open Government, will be the guest speaker. The Committee, a unit of the NYS Department of State, provides advice and guidance concerning the state's Freedom of Information and Open Meetings Laws. Note that this is not the county council on government which meets locally.
