Marvin D. Potter of Owego, a devoted husband of 36 years to Kathryn Lockwood Potter; loving father to Sharon Morehouse Potter, Gary Potter, Marvin Potter, and Mary Potter died last month. Potter was a veteran of WWII and Korea. Born April 26, 1926, in Binghamton to Marvin and Mary Potter of Vestal. He was a graduate of Vestal High School. 
 A businessman of vision, he owned Potter's Marine in Whitney Point, N.Y. and was President and CEO of Owego Associates, Inc. comprised of the Owego Treadway Inn, the Holiday Inn Express, Owego, and the Hampton Inn, Owego. He also served proudly as a board member to the Tioga County Historical Society. 
 Potter is survived by many loving family members, including his dear wife, four children, sister, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. 
 Funeral Services were held Monday, June 1, 2008, from  Allen Memorial Home in Endicott, entombment in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
